This month saw the release of Alex Preston’s latest offering Chase The Rain. Teaming up with emerging talent Javeon once again, the track is expertly crafted and provides a perfect follow up to their previous collab with Dave Winnel.
Keeping the momentum on the rise, the latest reboot of this catchy track comes from Bristol-based duo Paragon, offering a healthy slice of dark and bassy house.
Honing their signature sound to deliver an amalgam of heavy basslines and underground noises, rising talent Paragon boast a fistful of hard-hitting releases to their name already.
The pair hit the ground running with their recent track 2Bad, gaining prime position on the Triple J Hitlist for a massive 18 weeks, whilst picking up additional support from the likes of BBC Radio1 (Huw Stephens), 1Xtra and KISS FM.
Now, turning their hand to remixing duties, Paragon bring a fresh twist to ‘Chase The Rain’ that is just as infectious as the original.
With a defined nod to early garage bangers of the 90’s, this track is fresh and familiar in equal measure. Teaming crisp hi-hats shuffles with a massive bassline, Paragon’s club culture roots shine through from the onset. Guiding us into a dark hypnotic house shape, this is a chunky remix of the immaculate Chase The Rain.
Alex Preston’s Chase The Rain ft. Javeon (Paragon Remix) is out now via Basement Sound.
