A visual documentary mapping out David Guetta‘s remarkable legacy in Ibiza to mark Radio 1’s 20th anniversary of broadcasting shows from the island, created exclusively for Radio 1’s BBC iPlayer channel, is now available to watch via David Guetta’s YouTube channel.
Although now considered one of the world’s most biggest and influential dance artists, ‘Made In Ibiza’ takes a look at David’s early, trailblazing impact on the island and charts his rise to international superstardom. From first heading to the island as a fan to promoting his own parties and going on to play iconic clubs like Space, Pacha and Amnesia for the first time, David’s remarkable story in Ibiza is explored fully throughout the documentary.
For David Guetta, Ibiza is one of the most important places in the world. It’s the place he calls home, but it’s also the place that has shaped his career more than most. David, one of the busiest men in dance music, he has given us some of his precious time to show Danny Howard around Ibiza, giving Danny an insight into his Ibizan life, visiting the places that helped to form his career and the spots that hold a special place in his heart. They visit Salinas beach where David used to promote his early parties at Privilege & Amnesia; then stop by Pacha and Ushuaia, the homes of his two residencies on the White Isle; they then take a walk around Space, the location of David’s first gig in Ibiza.
