Deadmau5 takes over O2 Academy Brixton 30.April 2010


Dance music phenomenon Deadmau5 is confirmed to take over O2 Academy Brixton for a very special live performance on Friday 30th April 2010.

The last 2 years have undoubtedly been dominated by the Mau5! In 2008, the relatively unknown Deadmau5 became the highest new entry in the DJ Top 100 Poll, jump forward a year and following 2 hit singles, a sell out show at London’s Roundhouse Theatre and memorable festival appearances at Reading, Leeds and the award winning Creamfields festivals, the mau5 has climbed the ranks even further sitting pretty at No.6. In fact, there are few artistes across the dance music spectrum that could lay claim to trailblazing a new electronic movement, however, Canadian born Joel Zimmerman aka Deadmau5 is one such artiste.

Following a stratospheric rise to the top of dance music’s highest echelons, this electro pioneer heads up a new breed of electronic artistes. Having mastered his trademark ‘deadmau5’ sound and renowned for sporting his infamous ‘mau5head’ fans the world over can’t get enough of the mau5.

Performing live, his sets consist mainly of his own material, assembling tracks on the fly, using cutting edge computer technology, including software he’s helped develop himself. As an artiste that continues to strive to push the boundaries, this Brixton debut live performance is set to raise the benchmark for live events once again. This event will coincide with the May 2010 release of his first artiste album. The album will highlight his production talents as an artist and producer.

The event will feature exclusive cutting edge production, video and lighting systems creating an unforgettable show. It will also include, seen for the first time in the UK the highly anticipated new L.E.D mau5head!
